St. Agnes Academy seeks a new Head of School to begin in July 2024. The school operates with the Head of School/President and Principal leadership model. Formed in the Dominican charism and the pillars of prayer, study, community and preaching, Heads of School have led boldly during generations of change. The next Head of School will partner with a strong leadership team and a dynamic Board of Directors to lead this extraordinary school into its next chapter of excellence. Candidates should embrace a deep appreciation for the Academy’s Dominican heritage and traditions. Guided by the charism of the Dominican Sisters of Houston, candidates will incorporate the tenets of this charism into daily life. Additionally, they will embrace compassion while thinking critically about the world around them.

Candidates should have an openness and commitment to embracing diversity and the marginalized in society. In addition, candidates should demonstrate a character of joy, full- heartedness, innovation, resilience, vibrancy and optimistic energy. The candidate’s leadership will ensure the Academy continues to be a place that teaches young women to be catalysts for positive change in their communities, both locally and globally. This leader will inspire the vision and be forward thinking in advancing the mission of St. Agnes Academy as a premier, college preparatory all-girls’ school.
