The Diocese of Greensburg in Western Pennsylvania is seeking qualified applicants to initiate a new process of Catholic formation and discipleship to build a solid foundation of adult spirituality, Christian discipleship, children’s catechesis, and youth ministry on a regional basis.  New positions of Regional Director of Faith Formation and Discipleship and Regional Director of Youth Formation and Discipleship are being created to oversee the comprehensive faith formation and discipleship efforts at multiple parishes in a localized geographical area within the Diocese of Greensburg.  Each position is full-time, exempt.  The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is necessary to succeed in these positions.  The positions require a working relationship with multiple pastors and parish communities.  The Managing Director of the Office of Faith, Family, and Discipleship will provide important supervision and collaboration in the establishment of these regional positions to meet the Bishop’s vision of a creative, experiential faith formation and discipleship process in line with the Directory for Catechesis and Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortations

For the Regional Director of Faith Formation and Discipleship, qualified applicants must have an MA in Theology or Religious Education or related field (BA will be considered with 5 years of commensurate experience in leading and developing creative parish or diocesan faith formation processes) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a parish catechetical leader or equivalent position.  For the Regional Director of Youth Formation and Discipleship, qualified applicants must have a BA in Theology (MA preferred – Lay Ecclesial Ministry certificates will be considered with 5 years of consummate experience in leading and developing creative parish or diocesan youth formation and discipleship processes) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a youth minister or equivalent position.  The Directors must possess reliable transportation and ability to travel by car within the geographic area.
