Bethlehem Farm is seeking a full-time volunteer to join our Catholic community in Appalachia that transforms lives through service with the local community and the teaching of sustainable practices. We invite volunteers to join us in living the gospel cornerstones of prayer, simplicity, community, and service. Caretakers coordinate work sites, interact with volunteers during their visit, maintain the farm, and assume other roles serving with the local community. Some great parts of being a Caretaker are stimulating work (from growing veggies to repairing roofs to ministering to teens–we’re never bored!), beautiful Appalachian surroundings, lasting relationships with West Virginian neighbors, and the variety of life skills you’ll learn.
