Grotto Network is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic storyteller to lead its award-winning editorial team of writers, artists, and platform managers. Grotto Network prides itself on telling stories that illuminate the deepest reaches of the soul, that captivate and embolden young people to do something more with their lives, that speak to the realities of modern day seekers and wanderers. We pride ourselves on telling stories from a diverse and eclectic group of writers, storytellers, influencers, and creators. This role - in close collaboration with our Senior Video Producer - will take the helm in pushing Grotto's editorial voice to new and exciting places. If you're interested in pushing boundaries in the world of Catholic media, or in illuminating the lives of young people with great content, or are bursting with stories and content you believe the world needs - this is the role for you.
The position will require a strong voice and vision to help lead the Grotto Network team on two fronts: content creation and platform management. The Senior Content Editor is responsible for managing a large community of freelance writers. They will develop pitches, edit articles for clarity, grammar, and voice, and oversee the publication of this content across Grotto Network's digital platforms. The Senior Content Editor will work to hone this content into a body of work that moves the needle in the lives of young people, pushing them to a greater meaning and deeper participation in the life of the Church. In addition to articles, the Senior Content Editor will work closely with the team of web and social media strategists to develop content specifically for our social media channels. A strong familiarity and passion for content on social media, and a desire to leverage social media for evangelization, is a must.
In addition to crafting content for platforms, this role will lead a team of platform managers to deploy it. The Senior Content Editor oversees Grotto's web and social team, ensuring growth and development of our online community. They will be a key leader in shaping strategy for social media and web, working closely with senior Grotto leadership to ensure key metrics and platform goals are being met. Candidate should have a passion not just for content, but in seeing it shared and enjoyed across digital platforms.

The Senior Content Editor plays a key role with Grotto leadership to ensure the success of this mission. Candidate should have a firm understanding of and appreciation for the Catholic faith. Just as importantly, they should have a vision and strategy for connecting with those outside the committed fold, and translating content with a Catholic identity for those hesitant to hear it.
