Are you called to the ministry of spiritual direction? Join us for the next cohort of the Franciscan Spiritual Direction Training Program at St. Anthony Shrine. Our two-year program is designed for those with a deep commitment to contemplative practice and a desire to walk alongside others on their spiritual journeys.
About the Program:

Rooted in Franciscan values and contemplative listening

Welcomes participants from all faith backgrounds

Led by an experienced team of spiritual directors and educators

Classes held online primarily on Saturdays (9:30am–3:30pm)

Two in-person weekend retreats per year at Notre Dame Spirituality Center in Ipswich, MA
-
Engaging coursework on self-knowledge, prayer practices, discernment, social justice, and more

Includes monthly meetings with directees and a supervisor starting in the interim summer
Ideal Candidates:
We welcome individuals with:

A daily prayer practice

At least three to five years of personal experience with spiritual direction
-
A deep grounding in their relationship with God
-
An openness to learn in a contemporary Christian context and from other faith traditions

A desire for an experiential, academic, and spiritual program
Admissions & Tuition:

$50 non-refundable application fee
-
$1,250 per semester (includes retreats and one-on-one supervision)

Limited need-based scholarships available — affordability should never be a barrier

Graduation requires attendance at classes and retreats, reading, reflection papers, and practicum supervision
