The Director of Music Ministry (DMM) oversees all aspects of liturgical music in the parish and directs the Schola Cantorum and the Hand Bell Choirs. The DMM oversees and works closely with the other choir directors.

The DMM is responsible for developing liturgical music for all Masses, Holy Days, special liturgical celebrations, weddings and funerals. The DMM provides training to parish musicians and scheduling and hiring of other musicians as needed.  The DMM recruits cantors, substitute accompanists, choir members and supervises the music library with the assistance of volunteers.

The position requires musical proficiency in organ, piano and voice as well as a thorough knowledge of Church liturgical guidelines and norms. The DMM must flow easily between contemporary, praise and worship, traditional and age appropriate music for children.

A Masters in Music is preferred with 3+ years of experience in a church position. All candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of the teachings and practices of the Catholic Faith, demonstrate a passion for and love of liturgical music, possess strong written and oral communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.  The ability to communicate in English and Spanish is preferred.
