Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a 200+ year-old Jesuit parish and school in Georgetown, Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced individual who is deeply grounded in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola and in Ignatian Spirituality. This individual is responsible for managing, on behalf of the pastor, and in collaboration with a theologian, all  aspects of the Ignatian training programs that form spiritual directors and ‘givers’ of the Spiritual Exercises. 

The incumbent supervises an ecumenical team of spiritual directors while directing the parish’s spiritual direction and Spiritual Exercises ministry. The individual will participate as a member of the Ignatian Retreat Team and when needed serve as a retreat director for the retreats in daily life.  

The tentative start date is July 1, 2024.  The successful candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic with an appropriate graduate degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in training spiritual directors and ‘givers’ of the Exercises. The person will have experience facilitating prayer groups and retreats, and will have been trained in giving the Spiritual Exercises and spiritual direction.  The position offers compensation in the range of $70-$80 thousand a year and includes health care and other benefits.  Holy Trinity values diversity and welcomes all candidates who meet these requirements.
