About Us

The Passionist Earth & Spirit Center (PESC) is a nonprofit interfaith spirituality center devoted to teaching contemplative practices like mindfulness, meditation, and deep connection to the natural world. Through education and hands-on engagement, we work for the flourishing of individuals, communities, and all of the creatures that form the sacred communion of the living Earth.

The Role: Executive Director

The Executive Director is a dynamic, visionary leader who advances PESC’s mission through strategic leadership, program oversight, financial stewardship, community engagement, and collaboration with the Board of Directors. The ED will serve as the primary public representative of the organization and steward a strong organizational culture rooted in justice, compassion, and care for the Earth.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver PESC’s mission and strategic vision in collaboration with the Board

•Oversee all daily operations, programs, and staff

•Develop and manage the annual budget; lead fundraising and donor relations

•Foster strong relationships with local, national, and interfaith partners

•Support Board governance, planning, and decision-making

•Supervise faculty and staff; cultivate a positive and inclusive work culture

•Ensure high-quality delivery of all offerings (courses, retreats, camps, tours)

•Promote PESC through strategic communications and marketing

Qualifications

•Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management or related field preferred

•Proven leadership in nonprofit or mission-based organizations

•Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and financial oversight

•Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and organizational strategy

•Passion for environmental sustainability, social justice, and contemplative practice

•Comfort with technology, budgeting tools, and social media outreach

Compensation and Benefits

•Full-time salaried position (exempt)

•Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000 (commensurate with experience)
