The Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit Catholic university, invites applications for a renewable term lecturer faculty position in the area of pastoral liturgy and sacramental theology in the Catholic tradition, to begin Fall 2018. The successful candidate will teach undergraduates as well as graduates in the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries. The graduate courses are offered in both traditional in-person and hybrid/online formats. The successful candidate must demonstrate superior teaching, service and professional activity and understand and support the University's Jesuit Catholic mission.
Renewable Term lecturers are full-time, nine-month non-tenurable teaching faculty who may be renewed for additional terms contingent upon the availability of funds, persistent programmatic need, and superior teaching, service and professional activity. After nine years, there is the possibility of promotion to senior lecturer.
