The Jesuits in Britain are seeking to appoint a new Director of St Beuno’s, the internationally known Jesuit Spirituality Centre in North Wales which continues to be one of the central works of the Jesuits in Britain. and the new Director will play an important part in shaping and delivering its vision and mission.
The Director is responsible for all aspects of the work of St Beuno’s and will be previously trained and experienced in Ignatian spiritual accompaniment. The Director will have proven skills in both leadership and management and will work closely with the Jesuit Superior, Deputy Director and House Manager. As well as a permanent team who assist in the delivery of the programme, St Beuno’s has a large group of ‘guest directors’ who assist in the giving of retreats.
There has been extensive refurbishment at St Beuno’s in recent years and this is a time of expansion and growth. As we come out of lockdown, under the leadership of its new Director, St Beuno’s will be ready to develop its programme and expand its mission of helping people seeking God in the modern world.
The Director will be a practising Catholic and someone who is in sympathy with the mission of the Church and of the Jesuits.
The main place of employment will be at St Beuno’s, but the Director will be expected, from time to time, to travel away to deliver retreats and training. This could be a residential position, but this is not required.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
