Duquesne University invites applications and nominations for a full-time Director to lead the Center for Catholic Faith and Culture (CCFC). The position begins on July 1, 2020.  The mission of the Center is to animate and strengthen the Catholic and Spiritan identity of the university through research, teaching, and the support of programs focused upon the Catholic intellectual tradition, including the tradition's commitment to social justice, peace, and the integrity of creation. Understood as a living, dynamic tradition of dialogue between faith and culture, this tradition will be evidenced in every aspect of the university's academic programs. Duquesne offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in natural and environmental sciences, leadership, business, nursing, health sciences, pharmacy, law, education, music, and the liberal arts.

We are seeking individuals with a Doctoral degree and 5-8 years of related experience. Candidates for the position should be a practicing Catholic, have an established record in higher education with success in teaching and scholarship, expertise in the Catholic intellectual tradition, and appropriate leadership and administrative skills. The Director will pursue an agenda that is cross-disciplinary and integrative, fostering conversation between faith and the disciplines. Rank is open for a tenured or tenure-track position.
