The Director of Missions provides direction, coordination and leadership to the mission services director, regional directors, and all missioners. The position works closely with the executive director, heads of departments, and regional directors on organizational matters. As a member of the Association Leadership Team, they partner with the executive director and the board of directors in developing and executing long-range strategic plans for all areas.
The position promotes the overall well-being of all Maryknoll lay missioners and oversees the development, evaluation and management of all of our ministries and mission sites in currently nine different countries. The position requires the ability to travel to overseas mission sites.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology or pastoral ministry in combination with management training — or any combination of education and experience in management, social services, pastoral accompaniment, and human relations in a non-profit. (A minimum of five years experience serving overseas as a lay missioner and, an additional three or more years experience in organizational administration and management is preferred.)
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and proven track record.
