Santa Clara University’s Ignatian Center is seeking to appoint a Director of the Bannan Forums. These forums promote the Jesuit, Catholic character of Santa Clara University through public lectures, seminars, and other activities targeted at faculty, staff, students, and the larger public in Silicon Valley and beyond.
The Director of the Bannan Forums develops and manages high-impact, innovative programming that focuses on the intersection of faith, culture, and questions of justice and reconciliation, bringing the Jesuit intellectual heritage into dialogue with current global realities. The role requires deep familiarity with the Catholic intellectual, creative and spiritual tradition (especially in its specifically Jesuit dimensions) and a critical understanding of contemporary thought.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building partnerships and collaborations with individuals and organizations in a multitude of contexts - university and non-university, and across the spectrum of religious and political convictions.
