The College of the Holy Cross seeks a dynamic and passionate Associate Director of Mission Engagement to support the College's robust and longstanding commitment to its https://www.holycross.edu/about-holy-cross and welcoming and engaged campus culture. This role is integral to translating our 500-year-old Ignatian tradition among faculty and staff members who constitute an increasingly diverse academic community that seeks to promote justice, service, belonging and the holistic development of all. Holy Cross is the only liberal arts, Jesuit and Catholic institution in the United States that is entirely dedicated to undergraduate education. The Associate Director will collaborate with various stakeholders to design, implement, and assess mission-driven programs for faculty and staff engagement that align with the pillars of the College's strategic plan, https://www.holycross.edu/about-holy-cross/leadership/aspire, especially:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Management:
• Design and oversee mission engagement initiatives for faculty and staff that promote the College's Jesuit and Catholic tradition. These include current programs (co-work days, Jesu-what?, co-sponsored book clubs, Heart of Holy Cross, Feast on the Feast, etc.) and development of others.
2. Pastoral Projects:
• Overseeing the production of the College's annual Lenten devotional, Return to Me, recruiting writers, acting as editor, supervising a student intern dedicated to this project, and shepherding this online and print prayer resource with 5,000 subscribers, now entering its 12th edition
3. Education and Training:
• Develop and implement human resources on-boarding programs for faculty and staff on the integration of Jesuit values in one's work
• Facilitate workshops and retreats that encourage reflection on the mission of the College
4. Strategic Assessment:
• Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of programs, making recommendations for improvement
5. Communication:
• Coordination of all mission engagement initiatives advertising and sign-ups through Ignite, the College's intranet
• Coordination with partners in Marketing and Communications
The Associate Director also carries out other duties as assigned and may represent the Division of Mission and Ministry on various College committees.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Theology, Education or a related field required
• Demonstrated experience in program development and community engagement, preferably in a higher education, liberal arts setting
• Deep familiarity with Ignatian spirituality
• Strong understanding of Jesuit values and commitment to the mission of Holy Cross and a demonstrated ability to sustain and develop the College's Jesuit and Catholic identity with intellectual rigor, pastoral skill, creativity, and spiritual depth
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various constituencies
• Proven ability to analyze data and assess program effectiveness
Working Conditions:This position may require occasional evening and weekend work for events. The Associate Director will work in an office setting with opportunities for off-campus engagement.
